1. Find a newspaper, magazine, or online article from a reputable source. I would recommend that you avoid blogs and opinion pieces for this project. The chosen article should be related to one of the chapters covered in this course and must have a publication date on or after January 1, 2021. 2. Choose one chapter that has been covered in the course that help to analyze the article you have chosen. You may choose to focus on a sub-section of a chapter, but should not cover material from multiple chapters in your paper. 3. Structural expectations: Your paper should have the following structure: i. Page 1: Brief introduction: State the main connection between your article and economic topic. ii. Page 1: Description of key elements from the economic topic: Most likely you will not be able to cover everything about the economic topic. You should choose the elements that will be most helpful in analyzing your article. iii. Page 2: Analysis of article: Use your economic topic to explain what is happening in the article you chose. iv. Page 2: Brief conclusion: Restate the main connection between your article and economic topic. Body of paper should be 2 pages long (try not to go too far over or under). Attach a bibliography page to end of paper. Submit the full text of your article. Paper should use 11 or 12 point font with 1 inch margins and be double-spaced. 4. The paper should uphold the standards of an academic paper, including proper citations and appropriate treatment of facts and opinions.
